Shaka Hologram Sky

Could I leave this in the store when I saw it? Hint: the answer is no.
A legendary holo I craved for a while, when I saw it I knew I had to get it immediately.
Application was ok, no great issues, and the color is wonderful.
Of course when I decided to wear it we had no sun for days, and it's quite a pity to take a photo of a holo indoor with flash.
Under sunlight it would've been so much better.
But alas, here it is in all its glory.
Very pretty, isn't it?
And it's always good to have a good holo collection...

Holo gradient

Yes, I know the gradient isn't much visible, but it's still some holo goodness shining under the sun! The basis is the old Kiko 400, with some Kiko 399 spinged on the tips.. It might seem like a cloudy nail art, unfit for spring, due to the color.. but as soon as sunlight hits it, bam, instant awesomeness!
A very short post today, since I had an exam yesterday and I have another next monday so life's keeping me busy (and tired).

Rainbow Challenge Day 4, Green Nails

The rainbow challenge continues with this Astra Holo (n 705) I kept exactly for this occasion... a lovely forest green. A pity there has been almost no sun lately, under the light it shines very nicely.
I decided to stamp something over it with Kiko 626, and I went for some leaves... even if I did leaves last time too, the results are quite different. I haven't done stamping in a while but I really love the results, the design came out neatly.

Astra Holographic Nail Lacquer 707

Today I was at the market and found a display with Astra nail polishes. I asked for the holos, and found them! There was a pink, a grass green, an emerald green and a violet. I bought the emerald green one and the pink one.
The formula is great, and so is the brush. It dries very quickly too. The holo effect is more visible under direct light, and it's very beautiful, and so is the color. Definitely recommended.

Holo and red

Phew, it's exam time at the uni and I have lots of stuff to study! But that's not going to take my nail art time away, just to reduce it, I guess.
I just needed an excuse to wear Deborah Shine Tech 13 again, such a gorgeous red.

I added kiko 400 on the tips. Holos and cremes really match, I wish I had bought the other two kiko holos that were in that LE. Those are supposed to be sunlight pics, but there isn't much sunlight since it's raining, sigh.

Kiko 399 and new stamping plates

My Valentine's Day nails were very simple, no hearts or anything, just 3 coats of Kiko 399, a taupe, almost white-ish holo.

My apologies for the quality of the photos, the battery was dying and had to take them in a few instants.
I liked this polish, and I think it would look nice with stamping, maybe with something elegant and classy.

And this is my Valentine's Day gift from my amazing boyfriend:

I saw these on Amazon a month ago or so and showed them to him while talking, but I surely wasn't expecting this gift, how great! In the box there are 25 stamping plates by Galscosmetics.
If you want to see the designs clearly, look here
I can't wait to try them all!

Review: Kiko 400

The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel.

The above quote, from Gibson's Neuromancer (that I haven't read yet, shame on me), is the first thing I thought when looking at this polish, Kiko 400, especially without direct light.
As I tought, it's really beautiful and having finally some sunlight to take pictures it's a blessing, especially with this kind of polish.

The second pic is a bit blurred but I wanted to show you a close up of the shiny-ness and colors. This is three coats and basecoat, but no top coat. I eventually tried on one finger and I'm pleased to say it doesn't ruin the holo effect at all.
Considering the price ( 2.40 euros) this was definitely worth buying!

Holo haul

Surprise! Another post! I did some shopping at Kiko.
If you say that you can resist sales, you're lying!

I went to Kiko with my sister and bought the Sensuous Burgundy eyeshadow palette from the fall collection, that you see in the lower pic and my first holo polish, the 399, a beautiful taupe. My sister tried it and decided she wanted the darker one, a sort of dark grey /gunmetal shade. This morning I went back to Kiko..and bought one for myself too! There were just 2 left, that's a sign of destiny! I can't wait to try them... but I sorta want to keep the taupe one for Valentine's day.

And look at the palette isn't it pretty? Those are my daily colors... can't wait to try this one.
