Radiation Green

I hope you have your hazmat suits ready, because this green is truly radioactive! And in those times of postapocalyptic fiction, who isn't ready for that?

Ok, that's enough sounding like a cheesy commercial. The green is deborah 45 Green Fluo. Seems like a normal green but under sunlight it shows all its neon-ness. I applied it over a white base, the black is Pupa 209.
I love this kind of fluo effect, and it makes me think of some weird chemical, especially those of James Bond villains and sci-fi videogames. Neon colors are also great for cyberpunk, so what else can you ask?

It's also good quality, I've been wearing it for 3 days without topcoat and there's only some minor tipwear.
I know this is neon season, and even if i can't stand those acrylic cheap fluo dresses, I think neon colors are great for subtle accessories (no, giant plastic necklaces don't count). The problem with neon colors is that it must be worn with extreme caution, because there's a fine line between "just a touch of neon" and the Rex Power Colt effect.

Remember, girls, unless you're leather-clad postapocalyptic survivors, hackers, street samurais, don't go full 80s. You never go full '80s.

Oh, still wondering who Rex Power Colt is? Look no further!

Flower print + haul

Base color: Deborah 11 Sense Tech 100% Mat. Gold: Kiko 628

This weekend I went to the Comics School party and the dresscode was tie or bowtie for men and something floral for women. So I went for some floral nails! I tried the Deborah polish as base. Quite particular, it manages to be matte and shimmer at the same time. It's probably not the best polish to stamp over, since the stamping polish doesn't grasp much on it. However the effect is quite great.

And those are the last polishes I bought!  The Deborah store is addicting.. I got that top coat just for 1 euro! I always searched for it, what a bargain! And surprisingly the Essence Fantasia LE is back in stores... i get that's very cold but I wasn't expecting to find a winter LE! The only polish left was that one... I hope I can find more polishes in other stores, but it was still a great surprise!

Sephora Arty Pois goes fluo

So, are you ready for a jump into the '80s?

Coral: Catrice Pimp my Shrimp; Light blue: Pupa 41 (disc.); fluo yellow: YSNY, white base by Kiko.
Over them, Sephora Arty Pois.
Even Sephora jumped in the nail art mania bandwagon... and i'm happy of this, 'cause I love this topcoat.
Apparently a dupe of OPI Black Spotted (and of the Layla topcoats of the same kind), but definitely cheaper. Yeah, despite my past not so good experience with Sephora polishes (great colors, bad formula) I decided to try this.. and wow, am I happy! Just remember, the more topcoat you use, the less spots will leave, so I recommend you to clean the brush a bit before using it on your nail if you want the basecolor to pop out. And don't forget a layer of topcoat afterwards to protect the design.
